No. 21 / Winter 2012-2013

The 2012-2013 Winter playlist is here! We had a busy Winter season in the studio and I had this mix endlessly playing in the background. It's the perfect soundtrack for my long countless hours of crafting. This mix starts of slow and then it speeds up to some head bopping and toe tapping, I've even bust a move to it once or twice.
I've included singles from Matt Pond and Ra Ra Riot. They are one of my all time favorites and can't wait for Ra Ra Riot's new album this coming year!

Our Fall 2012 mix is finally finished. When we make our mixes, we compile all of our favorite songs we've been listening to into a playlist. Then we spend weeks replaying the mix and eliminating ones that don't really work well together. The mixes are highly curated and with this Fall mix, there is a nice collection and the order of the songs creates a nice ebb and flow. ( I hope)

The album art is a photo taken with my phone during a weekend stroll in Park Slope. It's still early in the season so the leaves haven't changed color yet.

Still a few more days till it's officially Summer, I'm early with this one and that's a good thing. I just had to get this playlist out to you so you can have it for the whole season. I think this is a perfect soundtrack for a roof top BBQ or a road trip with some friends whilst driving with the top down. Finally our Winter mix for this year is completed. I know it took a while. December was a very busy month and so far January is shaping up to be pretty hectic too. I planned on making this mix very mellow and somber, but then I decided against it because everyone needs a little break from the constant gray we'll be getting all season. Some of these songs are quite fun. It starts off a bit melancholy and gray, but then you'll quickly notice where I start injecting some color. Please  enjoy.

We welcome Fall with open arms. Time to pack up your short shorts and brake out the cozy cardigans! Hope everyone had a great summer and we cannot be anymore excited for Fall. Can't wait for the apple ciders and the pumpkin pies! This mix starts off bumpin' and then mellows out a bit. Just like the change of the seasons, from warm to cool. Although the first few weeks of Fall this year has been unfortunately really humid. Let's hope for some brisk weather.

Summer is all about being at the mercy of the weather, which is not particularly a bad thing. (Except maybe for the copious amount of sweat) Our no. 15 / Summer 2011 is a perfect musical companion for road trips, lounging pool-side and barbecues.
